South Caucasus Water

Welcome to USAID South Caucasus Water Program

The Program is implemented by PA Government Services Inc.

Successful management of the shared water resources of the South Caucasus is critical to the social, economic, and ecological prosperity of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia – and an essential precursor to regional peace and cooperation. As a whole, the region enjoys relatively abundant water supplies. But growing demands for agricultural, industrial, and urban/domestic water, and the unequal geographic and seasonal distribution of water, is cause for conflict and concerns over increasingly frequent extreme events related to flood and drought.
